Deloitte brings together more than 1,200 specialists to provide New Zealand’s widest range of high quality professional and financial services. They commissioned Unispace to deliver a unique project on their corporate client facing floor, on level 17 of Deloitte House in the heart of Auckland’s CBD.
The space requirements were to be in line with Deloitte’s global initiative ‘the Greenhouse’, an area in each Deloitte workplace dedicated to innovation, creativity, events and workshops for staff and clients.
For the Auckland Greenhouse concept, we delivered a design concept that blends industrial features with softer elements inspired by the natural New Zealand landscape. We played on the raw natural elements, taking design inspiration from the outside in.
Ceiling tiles were replaced with canopy lighting, a nod to the night sky, while a campfire was the design concept for the breakout space, with open collaborative seating, warm colour tones and a relaxed look and feel synonymous to this setting.
We examined the visitor experience and journey into the space. To activate this for visitors beautiful motifs are emblazoned along the entry corridor with a discourse of innovation in New Zealand. The motifs relay the journeys of innovators, free thinkers and groundbreaking Kiwi’s to set the scene for visitors on arrival.
