GlobeSt.'s Women of Influence
This initiative highlights outstanding women holding various positions in the industry. This year our own Chely Wright, Marjorie McCarthy, and Regan Donoghue were included among the winners.
Chely, named a GlobeSt. Diversity Champion, was honored for her work leading Unispace’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) program. Her accomplishments include helping launch Unispace’s firm-wide change management strategy centered around DEIB and helping create Art for Impact, a new offering that helps clients meet their DEIB goals. Chely has also been recognized as a Crain's New York Notable LGBTQIA+ Leader this year.
Marjorie, chosen as a GlobeSt. Marketing/Communications Professional, was recognized for her role as a key business driver for Unispace. Marjorie helps Unispace win new office design engagements by crafting narratives around the purpose of the office in a new hybrid work environment and how clients can tell their brand story through their physical space.
Regan, a recipient of GlobeSt.’s Consultant/Advisor recognition, was honored for her visionary and accessible approach to the most complex work challenges of the modern age. At Unispace, Regan helps global brands create inclusive employee experiences and plan for the future.

Kat Ghassemi won Connect Media's CRE Next Generation Awards, celebrating rising industry stars under 35.

Chely brings a background that fuses advocacy, business, real estate, and communications. She has vast experience advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) efforts and partnerships, working with companies and organizations to create more inclusive working environments. Under her leadership, Unispace has established a Global Supplier Diversity Program, created a DEIB learning and training program, ‘We.Belong’, and launched Employee Resource Groups—Women@Unispace and Parents & Caregivers@Unispace. Marjorie has nearly 20 years of experience developing successful marketing and communications strategies for large global brands, as well as rapidly-scaling, high-growth companies, across a number of industries and markets – from India to the US to Latin America and everywhere in between. In 2023, Marjorie won a GlobeSt. Women of Influence Award in the Marketing/Communications Professional category.
About Regan Donoghue, Senior Principal, Unispace
Regan leads Unispace's strategy team to the final brief, ensuring each one captures the client’s brand and identity effectively. She applies 16 years in the industry to interpret data and strategy findings, then recommend how to best deliver effective change in compliance with brand, budget, and aesthetic. She defines strategies designed to help solve needs brought by the complexities of a post-Covid world. Taking a fresh and empathetic approach to optimizing both the workforce and the workplace, Regan enhances the quality of the end user experience in a broad range of spaces. Rose has worked in both the ANZ & North America regions, and has extensive experience in the full lifecycle of a project. Her ability to strategically translate clients' goals, and meet their budget and schedule expectations, all with a solutions-focused mindset, allows Unispace projects to be delivered to the highest quality. Rose’s ability to work closely with a wide range of project stakeholders, from executive teams to the local sub-trade market, enables her to ensure all project goals are met and communicated successfully. In 2023, she was named a New York Real Estate Journal Woman in Construction.
About Kat Ghassemi, Director of Strategic Projects, Unispace
Kat applies a deep understanding of Unispace and the wider commercial real estate market. She has an astute approach to supporting senior leadership and setting Unispace’s direction, using her critical thinking, financial acumen, and research expertise to present robust new thoughts, arguments, and challenges to stakeholders that keep Unispace competitive and growing in New York and globally. Among other projects, Kat crafts Unispace’s overarching strategy and cascades it across the company. She identifies and executes initiatives that drive the firm’s competitive approach, partnering with stakeholders to lead and influence new business initiatives including M&A and a framework to secure strategic partners in target geographies. In 2023, Kat won Connect Media's Commercial Real Estate Next Generation Award.
