Unispace Group appoints James Bruce as Group President to power growth
London/New York, 4 December 2023 – Unispace Group has appointed James Bruce in the new role of Group President, based out of London, England, to power the group’s continued global growth across its portfolio of brands – Unispace, Unispace Life Sciences and Downstream.
Bruce joins at a critical phase for Unispace, as the global strategy, design, and construction firm looks to continue strengthening its offer in new sectors and service lines – especially life sciences – and portfolios through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, which have included laboratory and office fit-out specialist Bulb Interiors in August 2023, bioscience design consultancy BioPharma Engineering in 2022, and experience design agency Downstream in 2021.
Bruce is a highly experienced and commercial senior executive who has held various C-suite roles across multiple geographies in the last 15 years. He was most recently CEO of built environment at engineering consultancy Buro Happold where he oversaw substantial growth in revenue and profitability, as well as executing and integrating a series of acquisitions. Prior to this, he held Group CFO board-level positions within the WPP PLC network of branding agencies, leading their finance and operations strategies.
His focus is on driving operational excellence and efficiencies across the Group’s portfolio of brands, driving best practice delivery globally, and implementing proven strategies for continued scale and profitable growth.
