A Refined Workplace Supporting Focus and Collaboration

When Quahe Woo & Palmer LLC (QWP) set out to consolidate its Singapore office onto a single floor, the opportunity was not just to bring teams together, but to create a workplace that better supports focus, collaboration, and day-to-day efficiency. The new office needed to accommodate a high number of enclosed offices and meeting spaces while remaining open, professional, and comfortable for its people.

Working with Unispace, QWP took a strategic approach to space planning—reviewing how different areas were used and identifying opportunities to optimise the layout without compromising functionality. Through a highly collaborative planning process and multiple layout iterations, the workplace was refined to ensure essential spaces were prioritised, circulation was improved, and duplication was avoided.

A planning strategy that balances privacy, openness, and daylight

A key outcome of this process was the adoption of a cloister-style planning model. Enclosed rooms are organised into adaptable modules that improve movement across the floor and reduce the need for long corridors. This approach enables natural light to reach open work areas while maintaining the privacy required for focused and confidential work. Shared collaboration spaces are positioned at the centre of the workplace, creating a more connected and intuitive environment.

The resulting layout increases flexibility across the office, with a stronger balance between collaboration areas and individual workspaces. Clear zoning supports different teams and workstyles, while improved flow and access to shared resources enhance the everyday experience for staff.

Designed and delivered with longevity in mind

Sustainability and long-term value were embedded throughout the project. Existing system and loose furniture were assessed for reuse, reducing waste and unnecessary replacement. Joinery was designed to accommodate future appliance upgrades, supporting adaptability and minimising future disruption.

QWP’s new Singapore office is a thoughtfully designed, future-ready workspace. The redesigned space brings teams together, encourages collaboration, and provides dedicated areas for focused work—all within a well-organized, intuitive layout. The result is a cohesive, flexible environment that supports how people work today while remaining ready for the firm’s future needs.
