API plant retrofit – NPI upgrade

The client needed to upgrade their existing API manufacturing facility to support a new third-generation API product.

We worked closely with the client to design, and project manage the process mechanical and electrical work required for the upgrades. 

The project included detailed engineering design, cost, automation management, and contract management as well as process, mechanical, and electrical design. We demolished and removed existing equipment and pipework, added new solvent handling and distribution design, and upgraded bulk solvent handling in the site tank farm. We also introduced powder charging to existing vessels and reactors, reviewed ATEX and classification report for dust handling, installed 1.8km of pipe to the existing reactors and equipment trains, and upgraded automation (300 additional I/O).
