Located in Bank, the heart of London’s financial district, Unispace was engaged to create a high-end experience for Bank ABC’s clients and staff, encompassing reception, the first, fourth, fifth and sixth levels of their existing offices across approximately 25,000 sq ft of space.
The main work areas were designed with glazed front partitions to allow views into closed offices, simultaneously encouraging light to penetrate throughout the space. Taking advantage of the views over the Bank of England, senior executive offices were strategically located close to the façade to capture and maximise views.
Our team removed some of the existing internal partitions on level five and six, and in the process opened up the lobby and waiting zone to become a more welcoming, brighter executive space.
Aesthetic design features of the space include marble flooring to offset a darker toned carpet, helping to define specific spaces. This was contrasted with two black glass walls subtly inscribed with an intricate Arabic pattern referencing the heritage of Bank ABC. Linear LED strip ceiling lighting was introduced to draw and direct the employees and clients of Bank ABC throughout the office, acting as a lighting and wayfinding element. Walnut timber, leather and silk wall coverings further reference the executive feel of the space.
The fifth level, the most recent to complete, includes a stunning central atrium with feature fountain and bespoke lighting, naturally floodlit via open skylight. The space also caters for executives: including a dining room, corporate catering kitchen, boardroom, adjoining meeting spaces and executive offices.
