User experience and flexibility is the focus of this training facility in Paris for Boston Scientific. It provides a globally connected space for staff and clients to collaborate.

The IAS project is a training and meeting facility for Boston Scientific and is used by staff and clients from all over the globe because of its proximity to Charles de Gaulle airport.

Our team carried out extensive renovation works following an intensive design period. During which we evaluated the use of the space with the local team and helped implement Global Workplace Standards with the global real estate team at Boston Scientific. The key to the projects was collaboration between the team to meet the local client’s expectations and having global support to ensure the demands of the business were also being taken into account.

The implementation of the Boston Scientific Global Workplace Standards and a lease expiry on the space were the main drivers. The brief was to completely re-design the staff and training areas as well as incorporating a business centre designed for visiting Boston Scientific employees.

The global workplace standards have been implemented into this project with special attention being paid to the layout of meeting rooms and audio-visual technology. The space has been divided into three distinct areas – the staff area, the training area and a business centre for use by visiting staff. The change included bringing all the staff into an open-plan office so enhancing the user experience was also an important part of the project.
