A Dynamic Workspace for Coty in Barcelona
Coty, having previously collaborated with Unispace on projects in Amsterdam, Paris, and London, engaged them again for a strategic relocation to a modern office in Barcelona. The new space is located in the Urbit building within the 22@ District, providing Coty with a 2,600 sqm floorplate that supports their expanding team and centralizes their presence in Barcelona's business hub.
Crafting a Workspace with Timeless Elegance
Unispace designed Coty’s Barcelona office to reflect the brand’s sophistication and timeless appeal. Using a neutral palette with soft pastels, the design creates a serene and elegant environment. Curved walls and exposed concrete elements blend modern aesthetics with historical character, while acoustic panels and durable materials ensure functionality and comfort.
A Signature Environment
The office features branded elements, such as meeting rooms named after iconic Coty products and a reception area with LED-lit shelving to showcase Coty’s offerings, reinforcing the brand's identity throughout the space.
A Workspace to Nurture People and Planet
Sustainability was a key focus, with recycled sit-stand desks, repurposed lab equipment, and the integration of biophilic design elements like natural plants. These choices highlight Coty’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and a healthy work environment.
Optimising Space for Maximum Functionality
The design team addressed challenges such as structural columns and angled walls to create a functional and flexible workspace. The space planning balanced practical needs with aesthetic considerations, enhancing both efficiency and visual appeal.
Delivering Ahead of Schedule
The project was completed in just three months, facilitated by the opportunity to be the first tenants in the new Urbit building. Despite challenges with utility installation and access, Unispace efficiently managed these issues to deliver Coty’s sophisticated new office on time, allowing for an earlier-than-expected move-in.
