One of the world's largest law firms, Dentons, have relocated their Wellington office to the state-of-the-art, Green Star Bowen Street campus. The new flexible workplace showcases a commitment to excellence for both clients and employees. It delivers on Dentons sustainability goals while also enhancing the overall client experience.
Unispace were engaged to undertake workplace strategy to determine a new way of working for Dentons. This involved transitioning from a traditional law firm environment with individual offices to a full open-plan work setting with on-demand offices. This transformational change was achieved through stakeholder engagement interviews and workshops with 15 partners.
The key objectives for the new space included attraction and retention of top talent, improved client experience, creating a space to support and empower high performance, and nurturing culture and community.
This new workstyle strengthens collaboration and connection between staff, breaking down silos to enable the cross-pollination of ideas. The movement to an open-plan workplace with day offices enables greater flexibility to accommodate growth, learning and development.
The result is a welcoming, inclusive space that reflects the firm's brand identity and solidifies Dentons' position as a leading law firm both in New Zealand and globally.
The project was completed on-time and on-budget, with construction complete within 12 weeks.
