A notable location is the Serrano Tower, an iconic office building situated in Madrid’s prestigious Salamanca district – a notable area for blending historic charm with modern luxury. Constructed in 1974 and refurbished in 2015, the 14-storey Serrano Tower stands as a symbol of excellence, housing other prominent brands such as Dior.
Crafting a functional, elegant office design
The design of Houlihan Lokey’s Madrid office was crafted to align with the company's established global design standards, particularly the successful layout and aesthetic seen in their London office. The floor plan was designed to accommodate 30 employees, with 30 workstations and seven private offices for the senior team.
Details that define the space
Materiality and finishes were key to achieving a refined balance of style and functionality. A warm, sophisticated colour palette was selected, incorporating natural materials like timber and stone. Bespoke joinery was integrated to display Houlihan Lokey’s trophies and awards, with discreet storage solutions for practical items like fire hoses. Lighting was carefully considered, with feature lighting accentuating key design elements such as the reception area. Art was thoughtfully placed to add character and help soften the spaces without fabric panelling.
