Tripadvisor, a global leader in travel and tourism, set out to create a new office in the heart of Lisbon, a workplace that would seamlessly blend the company’s brand identity with the vibrant culture of the city. Building on the success of our most recent project with Tripadvisor in Oxford, UK, the aim was to replicate a similar aesthetic while incorporating design elements that reflected Lisbon’s unique character and appealed to the local team.
Incorporating local culture and global identity
The design of Tripadvisor's new Lisbon office was conceived to create a dynamic, welcoming space that reflected both the company's global identity and the local culture. Inspired by the spirit of travel, the office blends the vibrancy of Portuguese design with Mediterranean, African, and Arabian influences, creating a space that feels distinctly local yet cosmopolitan. The design incorporates rich textures, neutral tones, and bespoke furniture to foster an inviting, comfortable environment that supports various work styles and encourages collaboration.
Custom design and bespoke features
Carefully selected materials and a thoughtfully planned layout enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Custom joinery, natural wood finishes, and ceramic tiles add warmth and depth, while exposed ceilings and subtle gold accents bring an industrial, hospitality-inspired edge.
