ZEISS, a global leader in optical and optoelectronic technologies, partnered with Unispace to unveil its new office in Bangkok. This project represents Unispace's inaugural workspace design venture in Thailand's healthcare and life sciences sector, setting a new benchmark for workplace environments in the region.
Addressing Growth and Cultural Integration
Driven by ZEISS's ambitious expansion goals in Thailand, the project aimed to create a modern, collaborative, and welcoming environment for its employees. The design was guided by the principles of ‘Local Light,’ blending German precision with Thai cultural elements. Unispace's design approach reflects the company's commitment to both high standards and local warmth.
Designing with Precision and Local Flavor
The 12,000 sq. ft. office seamlessly integrates sleek, minimalist design with inviting, culturally resonant motifs. Dominated by white hues, the design symbolizes ZEISS's commitment to quality and technological excellence. Thai-inspired elements were incorporated through locally sourced materials and furnishings, creating a space that reflects both the global stature of ZEISS and the hospitable nature of Thai culture.
A Human-Centric Approach
The new office features a self-help kiosk and an open work café that greet employees and guests, setting a warm and accessible tone from the moment of entry. The design includes expanded communal areas for lunches, brainstorming sessions, and versatile event spaces, accommodating internal and external events like product launches and town hall meetings.
Private focus pods, social zones, and a gaming area foster relaxation and team bonding, enhancing overall workplace morale. This blend of communal and private spaces supports a semi-agile work style, balancing efficiency with employee wellness.
