CoreNet EMEA Summit x Unispace: What’s next for the contingent worker and office design?

We are delighted to be hosting a panel at the 2017 CoreNet EMEA Summit in London, where we will explore office design and working models, discussing finding the balance between work and lifestyle.

Unispace is hosting a panel at this year’s CoreNet Global EMEA Summit: 'Transcending Boundaries', one of the world’s premier real estate events to be held in London on September 13th. Having sponsored the event previously in 2016, we are sponsoring again this year and are proud to also be discussing our research.

Our panel is being led by Regional Principal for Design, Natasha Bonugli, and is titled, “What’s next for the contingent worker?” We will be exploring office design and working models, discussing how we find the right balance between work and lifestyle, supporting efficiency whilst also providing the right amenities.

The discussion will assess the proposition that workplace design needs to be more in tune with workers lifestyle requirements and in particular parents as they return to work.

Offices have been unsuccessful in enticing women back into work and aren’t supporting workers as productively as they could be. With an aging population in many EMEA countries, it is imperative that occupiers engage these workers, be they contingent or full-time.

The session will be hosted by marketing and PR consultant John Williams, who speaks regularly at industry events and collaborated on a similar event ‘The Craft of Disruption’ at the Shard with Unispace in September 2016. He and Natasha will discuss research informing a forthcoming whitepaper by Unispace that assesses the issues facing the ever-growing contingent workforce and how workplace design can mitigate these issues.

The research has been conducted in conjunction with workplace engagement specialists, CultureAmp, and Chloe Hamman, will be joining Natasha and John on stage. A further industry survey has been conducted with Women in Property – a leading sector stakeholder group in the UK – to add to the weight of the report. Lisa-Jane Risk, a former Chairwoman of Women in Property, will also be on the panel to discuss these poignant topics.

We look forward to releasing more details of the white paper following the London event.  A further event as part of this campaign is being scheduled and will be jointly held by Women in Property and Unispace.
