We’re excited to announce two new leaders have joined our growing team, as Unispace prepares to embark on it’s second decade in business.
We’d like to warmly welcome Rob Aird and Toby Rakison to the roles of Managing Director, APAC, and Managing Director, Asia, respectively to help realise Unispace's goal to drive strategic growth throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Rob Aird joins us following previous roles in strategic management at Lendlease for the past nine years, specifically within the Engineering and Services businesses. Commenting on his appointment, Rob said he was attracted to Unispace’s culture and potential for continued positive change saying, “In terms of organisational size, Unispace is at an exciting time in its lifecycle – large enough to have a strong foothold in its chosen markets, but still agile enough to be able to deliver transformational change.”
Toby Rakison commences his role following a six-year tenure at institutional furniture manufacturer, Steelcase, most recently as Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, and drawing on 16-plus years of experience in the region. He says about the role, “Unispace is a high-value brand, offering a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an entrepreneurial edge, which is very exciting…I can see the potential to make a real impact on our presence in Asia by setting a clear vision, and helping the team unlock their potential.”
Unispace Global CEO Charles Hales said these senior appointments are a timely addition to the business’ leadership team at an exciting time of global growth and regional opportunity.
“The last decade has taught us there’s strong global demand for our uniquely integrated model and we’ve been able to work with an amazing cross-section of clients, across multiple and varied industries around the world,” says Charles. “This has not only given us the confidence and impetus to continue our expansion plans but has also enabled us to further invest in our people and attract high-calibre talent such as Rob and Toby to the business. We couldn’t be more pleased to have them onboard.”
