Celebrating our rising star, Michele Mercado

Michele Mercado works as a designer in EMEA, based in our London studio. She’s recently been named as one of Mix Interiors 30 under 30, which recognises rising stars in the interior design and architecture industry.

Supporting the design team across Europe, Michele develops and produces interactive and digital content for various projects, including renders and animations.

“I became passionate about design after I studied Product Design and Media in college, and I enjoy being able to express myself creatively as well as problem solve. Being a designer lets me do both.”

“A project that I really enjoyed working on was producing a walkthrough for Pfizer. I was able to explore and improve my skills including new digital animation techniques, and I also got to use my video and design skills which was great”

“Unispace is such a creative environment to work in. The team is a really nurturing environment that encourages me to push my boundaries and reach new limits with my work, which I really love”

“At Unispace, Nat [Bonugli] and the designers influence my work a lot. Working with them I have continually learnt new things and new ways of thinking.”

Michele's manager, Natasha Bonugli, was the one who sneakily submitted Michele for the award without her knowing, "We’re so proud to have such ambitious creative team members. Working for Unispace gives our team members access to a supportive network of mentors as well as allowing opportunities for career growth which include working overseas."

So what's next for our rising star?
“I'm still finding myself as a designer so I want to keep learning, exploring and honing my abilities and progress my career as a designer.”
