With DoubleVerify’s ambitious culture and high-tech background, we knew our uniBIM digital integration process was the perfect solution to dynamically tie together design and construction services, while bringing their values of openness and transparency to life. Our unique approach, which we call uniBIM, fused a collection of planning and design technologies with cost databases to save DoubleVerify time, forecast risk and increase quality.
The process began with an interactive 3D photogrammetric scan of the space to capture field conditions. This gave our teams a constant point of reference and was so accurate that we detected a few-inch sag in the slab, which we addressed immediately, saving a costly change order later on.
This data was incorporated into the test-fit and design process where our team created near real-time flythroughs of the proposed design that were navigable in virtual reality by the client. With the whole team at the table, approvals and changes were made in a dynamic setting, saving substantial time in the schedule, and creating real buy-in from leadership. Manufacturer data and costs were applied to this model, so as changes were made, costs and lead times were updated. Take off schedules and color-coded plans could quickly be created for the delivery team as data and counts for furniture, fixtures and equipment were already in the model.
The built space includes a large hub with social areas, meeting spaces and a café, as well as large open work areas interspersed with collaboration zones including small huddle rooms, open standing tables and large meeting rooms. Polished concrete floors tell the story of the building’s history, while colored pathways laid over it direct staff and guests to different functional areas. Open-ended meeting booths provide both privacy and transparency through the space. Custom lighting and colors accentuate the space and communicate the DoubleVerify brand.
