Global communications agency unveils community-centered workspace that honors its Singaporean heritage.

Creating a community-centered space for employees, journalists, and clients to visit and collaborate.

Award-winning global communications agency, Redhill, contracted Unispace to design and build their new global headquarters in Singapore.

Requiring more space due to business growth, this creative team partnered with Unispace to design:

  • An all-encompassing first impression that delivers a strong sense of the Redhill brand.
  • A creative work environment and ambiance that attracts and retains talent.
  • A place where partners, including journalists and content creators, feel welcome, comfortable, and inspired.

Visioning workshops with Redhill’s team helped to set the vision for the new space at 1557 Keppel Road, including a move to flexible-based working and the need to draw from their brand story and rich local heritage.

Signature red brand identity is carried through the interior design, creating a lasting impression and cohesive space.

The Redhill name and identity originate from the Singaporean legend of Bukit Merah, a hill well-known for its strikingly red earth. As a result of the strong connection and brand story, the characterful office design is folklore-inspired, taking cues from various kampongs [neighborhoods] and injecting Redhill's trademark red color while balancing with warmer palettes and finishes.

The reception includes a bespoke timber trellis with a curved reception table, creating a unique feature that flows into open work zones, cohesive meeting rooms, and welcoming collaboration points.

Sentimental pieces, including a solid timber craft table with intricate carvings and patterns, were incorporated and supplemented with upcycled furniture sourced locally to pay homage to traditional Singaporean décor styling.

Woven rattan lighting hang from the high ceilings made by artisans in the region, and hand-drawn murals adorn the walls inspired by Redhill's branding. The large pantry and break-out space provide staff with superior amenities and a space for staff and clients to share meals, engage or collaborate.

A warm and welcoming experience and community space for staff and clients.

Redhill's new Singapore head office creates a strong brand impression and guest experience. The larger tenancy supports their business growth and provides a combination of quiet and collaborative work settings to align with their new flexible working arrangements.

Converted from an old factory building, the new characterful office at 1557 Keppel Road - where many creative businesses call home - sees an inviting, community-centered space for staff and clients that share the company’s rich local growth story.

The blank canvas space had minimal mechanical services, including essential air conditioning, lighting, and vast open ceilings. During the construction process, Unispace's close contractor relationships and face-to-face on site problem-solving sessions resulted in creative solutions being applied to challenges that arose. In turn, this ensured the project was delivered on time and on budget for the client.

In addition, strong client communications saw decisions made quickly, while pre-handover inspections to review artisanship ensured the new office was delivered defect-free.
