Unispace worked with Samsung's global team to transform their Auckland headquarters into globally relevant, brand-aligned workplace within a local context.
Enhancing connection and understanding of Samsung’s purpose and products was a key design driver. The interior design presents opportunities to celebrate, showcase and connect employees with Samsung’s brand.
As part of our workplace strategy and design services, Unispace assisted Samsung with the transition from a traditional workstyle to flexi neighbourhoods. This enables visibility across departments, encouraging immersion and understanding of all Samsung products and offerings by their staff.
A variety of work settings supports the productivity of Samsung’s people. This includes deep focus areas, tech-enabled collaboration spaces, training and experiential spaces, project spaces and a large social and café space, encouraging all types of work and interaction.
Elevating employee wellbeing and experience was a key objective, ensuring that the user journey was logical and the design prioritises connection to natural light and biophilic elements. Relocating the reception from Level 1 to Ground Floor provides an improved client experience. The main café space has been elevated to create a more collaborative, interactive and functional space for all users.
The project included a significant building refurbishment and new interior fit-out simultaneously, increasing the building occupancy from 200 – 350 people, allowing future growth and security for Samsung.
The Auckland Unispace design and construction project team achieved an incredible result for Samsung, with an on-time, on-budget, zero variations delivery within a 12-week construction period.
