Seismic Boston
From Surfboards to Skylines
Seismic first partnered with Unispace for their San Diego HQ—a vibrant, surf-inspired space designed to support a hybrid workforce (San Diego Case Study). The project exceeded expectations: from workplace strategy to office design, Unispace delivered a branded, people-centric space that reflected Seismic’s culture and business goals.
So when the Boston office—originally built in 2019—no longer aligned with the company’s remote-first workplace strategy, Seismic turned to Unispace again. Impressed by the efficiency, creativity, and unique brand design in San Diego, the Boston project was a natural continuation of the relationship.
Delivered on time and on budget, the result is a warm, branded space that’s ready for hybrid—and uniquely Boston.

Local pride meets global culture
Every Seismic office has its own story—and in Boston, that story is proudly local. From hockey stick lighting and custom team banners to acoustic upgrades and intuitive layouts, the space celebrates both Boston’s spirit and Seismic’s values.
Our team introduced new workplace guidelines focused on hybrid needs: better angles for video calls, more postures for working, and improved acoustics. The result is a workspace that’s flexible, functional, and full of personality.
Built to Perform
With no outside project manager required, our in-house teams delivered quickly and collaboratively. Challenges—like uneven mill floors and custom branding requests—were solved without slowing momentum. A unified approach meant real-time adjustments, less risk, and more control.
And because we started with strategy, we understood how the space needed to work—then delivered on that vision without surprise costs or delays.
Unified Team = cost and time savings
Seismic benefited from Unispace’s integrated strategy, design, and construction methodology. The team uncovered over $100K in savings without altering the design vision, and completed the renovation on time despite challenges including uneven floors and custom banner sourcing.
Because Unispace handled every aspect in-house, there was no need for an external OPM, and the process remained seamless—even when adapting to the realities of a historic mill building.
A workspace that works harder
Seismic Boston is more than an office—it’s a reflection of the people who work there. A branded, connected, and high-performing environment built for today’s hybrid reality. Designed to spark pride, productivity, and brilliance.
From San Diego to Boston
By honoring Seismic’s brand, workstyles, and local teams, Unispace created a consistent yet customized office experience across both coasts. From surfboards in San Diego to hockey themes in Boston, the workplaces are uniquely local—but unmistakably Seismic.
This is the future of work, brought to life through strategic partnership and integrated workplace design.
“Unispace was able to distill our company brand and ethic into clean and dynamic designs across a range of spaces. They are experts at finding the economical way to achieve design intent so that we get the wow factor within budget. When construction starts, Unispace is adept at problem-solving and keeping the process moving. On top of every detail, the furniture finishes to the pillows, tchotchkes, and graphics. Every project we’ve done with Unispace has exceeded our teams’ expectations and has also been a lot of fun!”
