Joel Sampson appointed in Australia to lead Design team nationally

Latest appointment in Australia drives the next evolution of growth for Design at Unispace  

MELBOURNE, May 8, 2026 — Global strategy, design and construction leader Unispace has announced the appointment of Joel Sampson as Senior Principal, Design for the Australian business.

With over 20 years' experience in the design and architecture industry, Sampson will lead Unispace’s Design team across Australia, servicing multi-national clients and continuing to elevate the design offering, which specialises in commercial interiors and life sciences spaces.

Based in Melbourne, Joel joins Unispace from Siren Design Group where he was the Design Director, leading a team and driving the design of key commercial workspace projects. Prior to that, Joel spent 16 years at Hassell where he led teams in Australia, Southeast Asia and China.
