Welcoming strategic hires in North America, Bob Hackett and Emily Watkins

We’re excited to have Bob Hackett join us as Director of Client Partnerships and Emily Watkins as Head of Enterprise for our North America teams. Each will play a vital role as they bring their expertise and industry knowledge during a time where employers will need to lean on real estate experts more than ever.

We spoke to Bob and Emily to get some insight into their experiences, what drew them to Unispace, and how they foresee Unispace taking clients into the next normal. But first a little about Bob and Emily:

Bob comes to Unispace from real estate and investment firm, JLL, where he led their Corporate Solutions Development team as Executive Managing Director. He believes Unispace’s integrated approach and focus on client service has poised us for strong growth post-Covid-19. 

Emily brings over 20 years of experience, working with many organizations to create and implement experience-driven real estate solutions. Having a rich background in leading teams for commercial and retail spaces, she’s excited about what Unispace has accomplished in the industry and how we're creating a simple, but excellent experience for clients 

Q: What attracted you to Unispace?

BH: The business model, collaborative culture, quality of the people I met, and commitment to growth. There is a strong foundation in all areas that gives Unispace a platform to grow in the future.

EW: I've always been passionate about the built environment and delivering a customer and employee experience that truly integrates the design and build process. Unispace’s approach has enabled them to collaborate and leverage each other’s expertise throughout the development process. I'm excited about how much value can be created for organizations as they re-think not only what their spaces need to be, but how they can be delivered.

Q: What are you looking forward to, now that you've gotten your feet wet?

BH: My priorities will be to get to know my new colleagues, grow our team, create an environment where individuals can thrive and in-turn achieve our client’s goals because of it, and of course have fun while doing it.

EW: I'm looking forward to digging in on the delivery model and value propositions as well as connecting with existing client relationships. I have been so impressed with everyone I have met so far and can't wait to collaborate further with the different teams.

Q: How would you describe your leadership style?

BH: I believe the best way to lead is through a collaborative and team-oriented approach, empowering individuals to make decisions and drive forward positive outcomes that are consistent with our collective strategy.

Q: What are your thoughts on the future of workplace?

EW: Workplace is experiencing a significant shift - it used to be that employees had no choice about where they went to work, but that's no longer the case. The physical workplace now needs to entice employees to come into the office across a broad spectrum of uses, and it needs to be a place where brand and culture are built.
