Bank of New Zealand
BNZ's new Auckland homebase reflects the leading bank's commitment to helping New Zealanders find a better way.
The 19-level building on Auckland’s iconic Queen Street, has been transformed into a connected, energetic campus for BNZ’s Auckland CBD-based corporate staff.
This move to refurbish the 21,000sqm building is the result of a strategic property decision to consolidate all Auckland-CBD premises into one location. It is an investment in the future of BNZ's people and customers and their home within Auckland.
A refreshed Queen Street retail branch and Partner Centre provides a comfortable, functional space for BNZ’s staff to connect and support their customers. The space is distinctly BNZ, reflecting the bank’s iconic branding and colours through digital signage, furniture selection and colour palette.
The staff community levels are at the heart of the building, an expansive grandstand spans two levels, enabling movement, energy and connection across the community space. This is home to the staff recharge and relaxation spaces, with a café, outdoor terrace, games and social area and wellness amenities.
A heritage display honors the history and impact BNZ has had on both the financial industry and New Zealand since their inception in 1861. This space has been designed to educate staff and visitors, providing an opportunity to reflect on the past.
Extensive conference and event hosting spaces enable BNZ to host events in-house, from morning teas to full-day 200 pax conferences. The event spaces are flexible, ensuring BNZ can easily accommodate all types of events.
The Unispace project team, in collaboration with our partners, RCP, RDT, NDY, Holmes and Haumi, has completed the design and delivery for over half the building to date, with the final stage currently under construction.
An endless exploration of experience, BNZ 80 Queen Street is designed to encourage connection, community and recharge, while supporting their staff to help New Zealanders find a better way.
