Bluelab

Bluelab is an innovative, agricultural technology company that exports specialist horticultural instrumentation and testing equipment around the world. Based in Tauranga, New Zealand, and with offices in the United States and Europe, Bluelab's vision is to grow a healthier world, free of pesticides, reduced water usage, and fewer food miles.

Experiencing rapid growth and a surge in demand for its products, Bluelab needed to scale up operations, fast. Unispace was engaged to expand Bluelab's existing workplace and warehouse facilities without disrupting production.

The workplace footprint was increased by extending the mezzanine to cover the full length of the building, providing space for additional work points and meeting rooms.

Additional bulk storage was added to the warehouse to increase production and accommodate spill capacity. Improvements were also made to accessibility to meet current standards and fire safety was enhanced to meet the increased hazard risk within the space.

A staged approach to construction was taken to provide Bluelab with a workable solution that did not compromise production. Diligent project management and pre-planning were critical to ensuring Bluelab's employees could relocate over the weekend and be up and running by Monday morning.
