BNZ Partners Centre

The next evolution of the Partners Centre captures the essence of BNZ: a playful, functional space that embraces digital integration.

Building upon a partnership to deliver BNZ's next evolution of their client experience center.
BNZ is one of New Zealand's large financial institutions covering retail, business and institutional banking, and employs more than 5,000 people in New Zealand.

Unispace and BNZ’s relationship spans more than four years and includes more than 20 projects. The latest project in this ever-growing partnership is the next evolution of the BNZ Partners Centre in Wellington.

The Partners’ Centre is a collaborative space where BNZ can work with, support, and interact with clients. A critical component of BNZ’s unique value proposition to their clients, BNZ engaged Unispace to deliver the next evolution of their Partners Centre as part of a wider nine-story workplace project.

In the aftermath of the 2016 earthquake, BNZ needed to remain a leader and showcase resilience in the face of adversity. The project objectives included providing a contemporary, tailored, customer-centric service space, facilitating collaboration and client interaction while embracing digital innovation.

Digging into benchmarking research arms Unispace with critical insight
Our Unispace strategy team undertook a global benchmarking research effort to explore strategies to create an industry-leading best-in-class customer center. Industry insights into the evolution and digitization of banking informed our solution, and we incorporated a seamless and responsive digital interface throughout the physical space.

Capturing BNZ’s vibrant corporate culture
The result is a bold, welcoming environment that focuses on the client experience and overall functionality. The playful design reflects Wellington’s local, vibrant culture, and includes a dedicated co-working lounge, meeting rooms, event space, cafe, collaboration zones and focus areas, each representing notable local landmarks and street names. Other client-facing features include a dedicated on-site concierge and immersive technology solutions that allow users to connect at any work setting, with any device.

Our unified team approach allowed BNZ to quickly make key design and budget decisions, which empowered us to deliver a defect-free project in eight months. Impressed by our approach, we are continuing to work with BNZ for strategy, design, and construction.
