Zoom Video Communications Inc. partnered with workplace design & build leader Unispace and experience design agency Downstream to create its new London space to shape the future of work and client engagement – placing Zoom’s industry-leading technology at its heart for its UK employees and visitors.

Zoom’s new 18,000 sq ft London office is meticulously designed to empower in-person, hybrid, and remote teams. The space features a pioneering Experience Centre and hybrid workspace, seamlessly integrating remote and office workers while showcasing Zoom's latest technology and product solutions to clients.

The office is divided into two distinct areas: the Engagement Hub for employees and the client-centric Experience Centre (EC). The EC offers an interactive and immersive brand experience, while the Engagement Hub demonstrates Zoom's commitment to flexible working with a variety of space types and layouts.

"Our company is centred around people, which is why our London Engagement Hub has been intentionally designed with the employee experience at the heart of it all."

An immersive experience for clients
The layout of the new EC is anchored around the Lens Wall, with the ceiling and floorspace reinforcing the continuous swirl of energy throughout the space. Welcoming both employees and visitors, this design immerses the user in the world of Zoom solutions, shaping the future of work and collaboration by demonstrating scalability, sustainability, security and the company’s relentless focus on customer experience.

The Lens Wall: Upon entering the floor, visitors will encounter digital LED media wall sections wrapping the entire space, connecting the Experience Center and the Engagement Hub with a flow of media. This digital canvas acts as a portal, offering visitors an immersive experience through an array of virtual environments, scenes, settings, and atmospheres.

Discovery Showcase: This next-generation space is the centrepiece of every guest’s journey featuring a world-leading LED touchscreen, where Zoom experts can provide immersive and hands-on demonstrations, designed to inspire, inform, and educate.

Boardroom of the Future: This state-of-the-art executive boardroom is designed for employees and visitors seeking the ultimate boardroom experience. It showcases Zoom technologies, including the award-winning AI-powered Intelligent Director feature.

The employee Engagement Hub
The Engagement Hub caters to various workstyles with community, hybrid collaboration, and focus zones. These areas offer dynamic and adaptable environments for in-person collaboration, hybrid meetings, and focused work, ensuring a seamless hybrid experience for Zoom's rapidly growing workforce.

Amplifying impact with care

Zoom is dedicated to fostering the well-being of its employees, customers, and community, placing a high priority on lasting impact. Their commitment extends to creating positive connections within the global community while actively working towards a sustainable future for both the environment and society. The design of the London new office embodies this ethos, going beyond mere considerations of carbon footprint to achieve the prestigious LEED Excellence certification, a symbol recognized worldwide for sustainable practices.

In alignment with its core values, Zoom collaborated with the Unispace Art for Impact (AFI) program to create a bespoke sustainable artwork through AFI partners Casa Congo and Las Tejedoras. Within Zoom’s new space, a bespoke tapestry composed of 3,500 repurposed plastic bags serves as a powerful symbol, inspiring both individual and corporate action in environmental conservation and social impact. This AFI partnership helps address challenges in climate change, social inequality, and economic development in Nicaragua.

“I love the story of how it was made, where it comes from. It aligns with our story, Zoom’s story, our values. Knowing that we are supporting and fostering economic independence for these women.”
