Global company Telogis develops cloud-based software for fleet management and vehicle and driver analysis. Founded in 2001, it has been growing fast. Between 2008 and 2014, the Christchurch team expanded from 30 to more than 150 members. With plans to double its software development staff, a workplace expansion and upgrade was imperative.
Telogis brought in Unispace to create a completely new office under challenging conditions. It had to be flexible and able to grow with the company. It also had to be completed to a strict timeframe and on a budget that was tighter than expected.
Our unique solution used existing furniture in new ways to open up the space for greater collaboration. The high-tech office includes a portal that acts as a virtual live link to the Los Angeles headquarters – a link Unispace coordinated by sending the design team to meet with Telogis’ Californian team and harness the strength of our global capabilities.
Today, around 300 staff work in the Telogis Christchurch office across four floors. Their new workplace has helped the business reach its growth objectives. It also lifts morale, encourages creativity, reflects their dynamic global brand and showcases its investment in its people – a recipe for great software development.
