Coca-Cola’s new Hanover office unites a once divided business unit in an inviting space that cultivates communication.

The Coca-Cola Company is the world’s largest multinational beverage manufacturer and retailer. With an ever-growing portfolio of over 500 brands sold throughout 200+ countries, Coca-Cola is a household name with robust brand recognition. We partnered with Coca-Cola to design their field offices in Hanover, Maryland to properly align with their global workplace standards.

We assisted Coca-Cola from site selection through design to help create an office that appropriately adheres to their brand standards while simultaneously embodying the functional groups that call this office home.

Uniting a team previously fragmented by location, it was paramount to create a space that fostered collaboration. Our designers leveraged Coca-Cola’s existing workplace standards to create H-shaped pod-style desking that actively removed barriers to communication and unified a team in one central location.

Housing the Venturing & Emerging Brands (VEB) business unit, the space uses Coca-Cola’s brand imagery in a subtle manner. Our designers deviated from the typical model of Coca-Cola’s offices and used their brand in a subdued, unobtrusive, and tasteful way that helped to highlight the numerous other brands in Coca-Cola’s portfolio that the VEB business unit helps to incubate. The space encapsulates a playful, open design – fusing rustic and contemporary finishes with accents of Coca-Cola’s classic red and white color palette to create an environment that is both inviting and reflective of the team that it houses.
